RICON was founded in 2014 as a small residential driveway paving company that had four employees and a few pieces of equipment, we focused on safely executing quality work with exemplary customer service. Over the last several years, RICON has grown to over 30 employees and provides a wide range of construction services to many clients throughout Southern New England.

James Hathaway

President

As founder and President of RICON, Jimmy oversees all aspects of the company’s strategic growth and operational success.  With over 30 years of experience in the site utility sectors, Jim has managed projects for both private and public agencies.  The company has grown under his control from a residential paving operation to a full service firm that handles some of the most complex site & utility projects for developers and state agencies alike. 

RICON continues to work extensively on its operational efficiencies and further expand not only its footprint but also the positive reputation throughout the regions we work in.  Jimmy credits the growth of the company largely due to the skilled trade professionals and their operational focus on safety, project management, logistical coordination, resource planning and scheduling, detailed cost analysis and budget management, as well as improving its site supervision during the construction phase to keep projects on schedule and within budget.​

Matt LaFazia

V.P. of Operations

Matt brings more than 18 years of experience in site, civil, and utility construction to his role as Vice President of Operations for RICON.  He has successfully managed projects ranging in size from $1 million to $15 million; effectively directing the field operations, quality execution and on-site safety.  On a day-to-day basis, Matt oversees operations within the field and the office.

Finance Manager

In her role as Finance Manager, Karen utilizes her extensive experience in financial controls and compliance to effectively manage overall financial services for RICON.  Karen has been with RICON since its inception and is a vital influencer as part of the leadership team.  Karen is responsible for office administration, accounting and financial analysis.
